Teaching English in India is both challenging and rewarding.
India Volunteer Teaching Projects are located in and around
India’s capital of New Delhi, a home of rich Indian
heritage. Our volunteers teach English to students aged 6
to 16 in both public and private schools. Volunteers are usually
provided with a fixed-curriculum English book and supported
by local English teachers. Our volunteers are asked by school
authorities to develop their own projects to help students
learn English. If you have other skills, such as computers
or drawing, you may be asked to teach these also.
In addition to work in public schools, volunteer English teaching
opportunities are available in a variety of non-profit schools
built to help destitute citizens. As a volunteer in these
settings, you will benefit your students immeasurably while
burning on your heart unforgettable impressions of Indian
life and culture.
