TRAINING & VOLUNTEER FAQS
Arrival Information
All participants should arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International
Airport in Nairobi.
Transfer from Airport to Host family or Hostel
LanguageCorps provides airport pick-up as well as transfer
to participants' respective living accommodations. We do NOT
offer airport drop-off services – participants are responsible
for arranging their own return transportation once the program
has commenced. TEFL / TESOL participants are required to provide
their flight information to our offices prior to arrival in
Nairobi.
How can I contact the school if I arrive
before the start of the TEFL/ TESOL program?
In the event that participants arrive before their respective/proposed
start date, they are advised to remain in their own hotel
where they are encouraged to call our offices. Said contact
information, such as the address and telephone numbers of
our Nairobi offices, will be included in participants’
final placement details provided in the supplied pre-departure
booklet.
Living Accommodations/Meals
Participants enrolled in the TEFL / TESOL program are accommodated
in our hostel. This particular hostel is located in a suburb
of Nairobi and is safe, peaceful, and moderately-equipped
with facilities such as electricity, fans, running water,
etc. Participants live in shared accommodations with fellow
participants (of same gender). We have experienced chef that
will prepare three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
for those staying in the hostel.
Internet/Telephone/Medical Facilities
Nairobi is the business center and capital of Kenya, offering
all these facilities/services within a 10-20 km radius.
